Merit Stainless Steel was first established in 1985, along Guadalupe EDSA, Makati, emerging as a new player in the industry, but equipped with full Japanese training in metal fabrication technology.

Merit’s humble beginnings were inspired by commitment and a determined passion for excellence that focused on metal fabrication for building facades, metal cladding of main entry foyers, and big columned skyline canopies.

In 1986, Merit added a Food service fabrication department and later designed and constructed its own sprawling 5,000 sq. meter production fabrication and assembly plant facility in Muzon, Taytay; equipped with the state-of-the art Japanese metal forming machineries, spot welder, and Japanese CNC Turret punchers and multiple benders.

The years went by with many fast-food chains as partners.

In 2005, Merit then innovated into producing line production of commercial reach in chillers and freezers.

As the country prospered, the entry of imported brands flooded the food industry. In line with the increased demand, Merit also introduced a line of imported branded products from US, Italy, Taiwan and China.

Merit has always focused on the latest R&D of new technologies, as well the design of high-quality stainless-steel food service equipment products that would show value for money quality that can stand the test of time.

Merit’s founders gathered its collective knowledge and pivoted its goal to what is today the leading retailer of Professional Hotel & Restaurant Kitchen equipment. 

Our products have reached to nationwide retail outlets across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 

After the pandemic that the world experienced, we continue to operate a Makati and San Juan retail store.

We are always thankful that despite of the global pandemic, Merit’s loyal clients not only maintain our long-term friendship and partnership, but still continue to evolve and expand our reach to industrial level.

In January 2022, Merit was able to complete the construction and move in to its new bigger and better office and warehouse facility in Malanday, Marikina City. The new Merit headquarters boasts of a centralized multi-level warehouse space, equipped with efficient freight elevators for better logistics. We also allocated a test kitchen space where business partners can come to test first-hand operating various equipment as to experience which capacity or specs one should require before choosing to purchase.

Today, we are fully operational and continue to strive to be the first partner of choice for Foodservice equipment.
